Allied Waste of Corvallis, OSU Campus Recycling and Linn and Benton Counties are again sponsoring a Master Recycling Class 2008. The eight-week program begins Tuesday, January 22, 2008 and will cover all aspects of waste reduction. Classes will be at 6:15 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and will be held in the Carriage House at the Benton County Fairgrounds. In addition to the eight class sessions, there will be two Saturday fieldtrips (8:30 a.m. to between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.). The classes are offered free to participants who agree to “pay forward” what they have learned with 30 hours of community service. Volunteer opportunities are as varied as manning a booth at the Linn or Benton County fairs, recycling workshops and volunteering with local reuse agencies. Class space is limited.
