Description

Republic Services of Corvallis and OSU Campus Recycling sponsor the Master Recycler Class, an eight-week program that covers all aspects of waste reduction.

The classes are offered free to participants who agree to “pay forward” what they have learned with 30 hours of community service. Volunteer opportunities are as varied as staffing a booth at the Linn or Benton County fairs, leading recycling workshops, and volunteering with local reuse agencies. Class space is limited.

2015 Class Schedule

The 2015 class will be offered for 8 weeks in winter 2015, likely starting in mid-January. The schedule will include:

  • 8 mandatory classes (one weekday evening per week), likely starting in mid-January
  • At least 3 field trips (most held on Saturdays)

To get an idea of what the course might look like, read the 2014 syllabus, which can be downloaded from the Course Documents page.
