Repair Fairs are twice-per-term events sponsored by the student group Waste Watchers, a joint group of Campus Recycling and the Student Sustainability Initiative. At this point in time we are planning to continue the Repair Fairs in the 2014-15 academic year and anticipate again hosting them in the months of October, November, January, February, April and May. Details vary each time, so stay tuned to the webpage for information about our upcoming fairs.
No Repair Fairs will be held during the summer of 2014.
Bring your broken items and volunteers will help you learn how to repair your belongings; attend demos to learn more skills! See list below for what’s on offer this month. Save money, save natural resources.
Repair skills offered:
Repair skills will be set in early October and are likely to include appliances, electronics, clothing, housewares and more.
Come by anytime in the scheduled time frame to see a ~5 minute repair demo!
Demonstrations will be set in early October.
Note: We don’t have spare parts, but will do our best to repair what we can and/or refer you to where you could find the parts you need. If you have parts already, we may be able to help you install them.
