The SSI is now accepting grant applications for student projects for the 2009-2010 academic year. This means that as a student, you can apply for a sustainability related project. There are $12,000 available for next year in grants, and one single project may apply for up to $6,000 dollars. Projects that benefit OSU students and the SSI's mission "Supporting student efforts to create a sustainable community at OSU through opportunity, education, and action" are more likely to be funded. Please contact us if you're unsure about the appropriateness of your project idea.
To apply for a 2009-2010 grant from the Student Sustainability Initiative:
1. Write a letter of interest. Your letter should be about one page in length and include how you will carry out your project, the benefits of your completed project to both the SSI's mission and the OSU student body, why you are qualified to carry out your project, and your contact information.
Submit your letter as soon as possible (preferred by June 30th) to:
SSI Program Facilitator

2. After submitting a letter of interest, you will have the summer to complete a full grant proposal, which will be due early in fall term. Guidelines for 2009-2010 will be similar to those for the 2008-2009 academic year, listed below. Stay tuned for updated information.
