The Student Sustainability Initiative has partnerships around campus helping with composting.
A Three Bin System is currently being used at the Student Sustainability Center to compost food and yard waste that the center produces. You can find plans to make your own Three Bin system at the SSC.

A Worm Wigwam uses worms to breakdown food waste. SSI takes used coffee grounds from Raintree Cafe in McNary Dining to be composted. You can find out more about Worm Wigwams here.

A rubbermaid container has been converted to a worm bin for the Student Sustainability Center. This is to demonstrate how the average student living in an apartment or house could compost their own food waste. More information and guidance about creating your own worm bin out of a rubbermaid container can be found at the SSC or you can check out the worm bin pamphlet online!
