Mattress Recycling Collaboration with ByeByeMattress: June 14-16 (10AM-3PM, 9AM Sat)
Benton County residents can recycle mattresses and box springs for free, without paying dump fees, thanks to an Oregon state law that took effect this year and the Mattress Recycling Council’s Bye Bye Mattress program. (Note: The mattress collection event is open to all Benton County residents, not just students.)
How It Works:
Each year, OSU has the opportunity to offer students an easy way to donate the items they no longer need while moving out, redistributing those reusable goods to nonprofits in our community - usually over 15 tons! We believe that together we can all improve our campus and neighborhoods, keep goods out of landfills, and be a benefit to our community.
Great Move-Out 2024 Results:
OSU Surplus Property, Campus Recycling, and University Housing and Dining collected
